the Programming Pantheon

In servitude of Koios & Mnemosyne

What is all this about then?

For now, it is simply a placeholder that will become more and more dynamic, a cross between a wiki and a webblog, aka a Bliki, similar to what Martin Fowler has. I will also be attempting to a couple of ideas that Steve Yegge came up with, regarding weblogs and wesites in general. This website shall be about programming, (programming) languages, type system(s|theory), books, projects that I undertake and other software development related topics. But contrary to the websites title and domain, this is not abour religion or politics. I am strictly a-religious, but not fanatical about it, simply put, whatever makes you happy, just don't waste your breath on my account.

So what about the title then?

Suprised as you may be, yes, the title is a religious keyword, although most monotheistic faiths have no use for a "all gods" place of worship. To clarify matters, it is intended as a pun to towards the Ancient Greek pantheion, but I know people will type that wrongly (I know I would :P), so I use the more conventional Latin "Pantheon". There are other reasons of course, for example, I consider the Ancient Greek to be the last great civilisation, they had libraries and did science! They considerd science important, unlike the Romans afterwards. Of course, I have to flesh this all out, and this is, as of yet, merely a static page. But I can tell you, that if I were forced to pick a deity, or deities, it would have to be Koios and Mnemosyne, since they embody my chosen proffession entirely, you could call them our patron saints.
